ABOUT MY ASSISTED STRETCHING SESSIONS

My assisted stretching sessions offer a gentle, easy-to-do, stretch modality, that combines the ancient wisdom of Thai Bodywork with Acupressure, Muscle and Joint Stimulation and Modern Therapeutic Bodywork practices rooted in science that will leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and invigorated!

Some refer to this as “The Lazy Man’s Yoga.” 

This amazing and relaxing bodywork combination includes stretching similar to or related to yoga poses or partner yoga, and has shown to have a therapeutic effect on your body, mind and nervous system similar to that of a therapeutic style yoga session.

Firm yet gentle pressure is applied to all of the major muscle groups, limbs, hands, feet, etc and provides a relaxing and grounding effect to the overall body inducing a relaxation effect.

Although it involves flexibility, you need not be flexible to enjoy this practice; since it is easily adjusted for any flexibility or comfort level and will enhance your level of flexibility with each session.

Assisted stretching and bodywork and/or partner yoga poses with a professional practitioner such as myself will literally change your life!

We may also incorporate into your bodywork sessions; Acupressure, Reflexology, Swedish Tissue Manipulation, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, and/or Neuromuscular Therapy according to your preferences and specific needs.

WHAT TO WEAR

Loose and comfortable clothing like what you’d wear to the gym: Sweatpants/shorts, T-shirt or sweatshirt, leggings, etc.

WHAT TO EXPECT

These bodywork sessions will typically be performed on the floor on a special mat that looks like a futon mat. Clients and the practitioners will be clothed in comfortable clothing that allows for easy moving.

GENERAL BODYWORK SESSIONS

While other types of therapeutic sessions offered may be performed on a massage table; my bodywork is generally performed on a mat which gives us greater use of leverage and mobility.
